lyrics

it was a warm wet night
the moon came up behind the hill yellowish,
had the shape of the dagger I bought long ago in Cairo
the air was thick, everything was still and silent
and then a whisper that became louder as the moon climbed all the way up at the top of the sky
a whisper or maybe a hum or a moan that chilled my spine and froze my heart

there is a wind calling my name
and I think i am insane
I am riding this race straight to hell

and the moon is so bright
it is burning me inside
oh the moon wears a face on its face

I thought it was a soft breeze
passing trough the needles of the pine trees that stood solemnly at the side of the hill
but as the whisper got more intense I remembered a voice coming from the past, speaking softly caressing my ears it became sweet and sour and then bitter
and suddenly
the whisper stopped
it stopped with a yell

there is a wind calling my name
and I think i am insane
I am riding this race straight to hell

and the moon is so bright
it is burning me inside
oh the moon wears a face on its face
